Common questions

If yours isn't here, it's one message away on the Contact page.

What does a typical session look like?

Every session is live, 1:1, and video-based — usually 60 or 90 minutes depending on the subject. We work through material interactively: explaining concepts, working problems together, and applying them hands-on rather than lecturing at you.

I'm in the US/UK/Europe — how does the timezone work?

I regularly teach students across US, UK, and European timezones, and schedule sessions around evening and weekend availability in those regions. We'll agree on a recurring time slot that works for you during the discovery call.

How does booking work?

Start with a free discovery call through the Contact page. We'll talk about your (or your child's) goals and current level, then set up a recurring session schedule that fits.

What's your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Last-minute cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis — life happens, and I'd rather be reasonable about it than rigid.

Are sessions recorded?

Recording is available on request so students can review material afterward — just mention it before the session starts.

Do you teach complete beginners?

Yes — Foundations-level tracks (General IT Literacy, Python, Java) are designed for absolute beginners. Certification tracks like Security+ and CCNA work best with at least some basic computing familiarity first.

What's the difference between "tutoring" and "career guidance"?

Tutoring tracks (Security+, CCNA, AP CSP, IB CS, Python, Java, IT Literacy) are hands-on, curriculum- or exam-focused instruction. Career guidance covers study plans, parent consultations, degree and career decisions, and tech roadmaps (including ISC2 CC) — helping you understand a path and prioritize, not drilling a specific exam.

Who are career guidance sessions for?

School and university students, parents who want an outside view on their child's path, and adults moving into cloud, security or DevSecOps. If you're unsure which session fits, start with the free discovery call.

Can you guarantee grades or a job?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. I can give you a clear method, honest feedback and a plan, but results depend on the work you put in.
